After graduating from University College London, James completed law school at the College of Law in London before qualifying as a Solicitor in England & Wales in 2008. He trained and qualified at London’s leading private client firm, Charles Russell, where he gained valuable experience advising clients on wills, trusts and estates.    

James excels in navigating his clients through the complex issues of lifetime and succession planning, with particular expertise in advising individuals with personal and financial interests in both the US and the UK. He also provides integrated advice to trustees and executors on complex international probate cases. He is a full member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), with international recognition as an expert in his field.   

James was admitted to The State Bar of California in 2021, and is a member of The American Immigration Lawyers Association. He has a keen interest in family immigration law, with a particular focus on assisting UK nationals with US visa applications.
